Roanoke Valley Christian Schools (RVCS) is a private, coeducational, Christian school for students in K2 (pre-kindergarten) through Grade 12 located in Roanoke County. RVCS was founded in 1973, and currently has 1265 graduates.  RVCS seeks to develop students who imitate the heart and mind of Christ as they subject all areas of life to the authority of God's Word and are fully prepared to confront their culture from a Biblical worldview.  Philippians 2:5 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."  (NKJV)

RVCS is dedicated to the development of Christian academic standards in its students. The curriculum is challenging and college preparatory in nature.  The majority of our graduates enter college. In comparison with other ACSI schools, our school scored better than 56% of those taking the TerraNova 3 standardized test.

A variety of textbooks are in use, both from secular and Christian publishing companies. All educational objectives are infused with God's Word. RVCS offers a standard diploma requiring 24 credits in grades 9-12 for graduation. RVCS also offers an advanced diploma requiring 28 credits from specific courses for graduation.

Teachers (K5 - 12) are qualified college graduates, committed to the goals of Christian education, and all teachers are certified by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
